Michelle K. Williams
Michelle K. Williams, associate professor of psychology, came to UConn in 1996. A clinical psychologist, her research interests are ethnic and racial identity development, multicultural psychology, rape attributions, relationship violence, and the effects of alcohol expectancies on victimization risk. She received her Ph.D. in 1996 from the University of Georgia, where she also earned a master's degree. She completed her undergraduate work at Emory University. She is currently the faculty adviser for the Minority Advancement Program in Psychology. In 1999, she received the American Association of University Professors' Excellence Award for Teaching Promise.
